| Background:
Nurse Watanabe was raised in a large traditional human family, in the shadow of one of Starfleet’s cadet training facilities. It was not hard for her to choose Starfleet as a career. But, instead of the Academy, she chose Starfleet Nursing School. She graduated with honors and pursued a scientific degree in exobiology. She was ready to begin a long career
of research and teaching. Then, the Dominion War came.
It was as a member of RRT that she was assigned to provide aid to the Delta Fleet. She was aboard the transport SS Kobe when the Ssoran/Romulan strike force attacked Deep Space Delta. After aiding the sick and wounded, she was transferred to the USS Hunter as a nurse and research scientist. In 2377, she was assigned to the USS Guardian as lead nursing officer. She hopes, one day to become a field
medic and, combined with her research, teach at the Academy.
Skills: Chemistry
A former All-Federation low-g lacrosse player at the Academy, Watanabe is very athletic. She enjoys keeping herself physically fit. And plays a variety of sports, including parrises squares, springball, handball, and phaser-tag. As a qualified Rapid Response Team member, she is very skilled with a phaser. Watanabe possesses an
advanced degree in exobiology.

Gwen Watanabe’s personality can best be described as “bubbly.” She is very personable. Fun-loving, straightforward and optimistic. She is very uplifting to people she meets, especially patients. Frank and honest, she can sometimes be downright blunt. But not vindictive. She is just very honest. Counsellor's Note:
